Had been experiencing jaw pain for a few days and I knew I wouldn’t be able to see my dentist until at least Monday. I was hesitant to go urgent care on a Saturday, I assumed I’d be waiting forever and for jaw pain, they wouldn’t be able to do much. But actually, I reserved a spot online and they took me right away. The medical assistant and doctor were so nice, helped me as best as they could, and sent me home with a prescription that eased the pain tremendously the next day. I’d never been to this location before but I’m glad I made the trip and the next time I need to go to urgent care, I’ll be going here. Thank you everyone at AFC Piscataway !

First would like to say like to everyone working the day I came in. Had a bad fall and had to have stitches removed. Place was very nice and clean got an appointment right when I needed it. The receptionist was kind and helpful. The doctor and the pa on site were very friendly, kind and considerate of all my needs. I also had to have X-rays done to check something I didn’t feel when I fell a week before. With no problem they were also done and thankfully all was ok. I definitely will go back the next time for either me or a family or friends.  Ty so much Nicole

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Everyone should consider getting tested for hepatitis, as it is a silent disease that can go unnoticed for years. However, certain groups are at a higher risk and should prioritize testing. These include individuals who have had unprotected sex, shared needles, or come into contact with infected blood. Those who have traveled to countries with high rates of hepatitis, or have been incarcerated, are also at an increased risk. According to the CDC, baby boomers (born between 1945 and 1965) are particularly at risk for Hepatitis C and should get tested.

Importance of getting tested

Hepatitis, if left untreated, can lead to serious health issues such as liver cirrhosis, liver cancer, and liver failure. Early detection through testing allows for timely treatment and can prevent these serious complications. It can also help prevent the spread of the disease to others.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Community health centers offer free or low-cost hepatitis testing. These centers are a great resource for individuals who may not have insurance or who are seeking confidential testing.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits are another convenient option. These kits can be ordered online, used in the privacy of your own home, and then sent back to a lab for analysis.
