The PA was kind and non alarming!  I didn’t feel that way with the previous visit 2 days before! She explained things carefully, so I understood what I was dealing with and prescribed the correct medication! The previous PA told me I would get a call with the results of my urine  test, but I never got that call and my antibiotics needed to be changed. I developed a fever and came in again! Not sure why I never got that call???

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Hepatitis, a viral infection that causes inflammation of the liver, can affect anyone. However, certain groups are at a higher risk and should consider getting tested. These include individuals who have been exposed to blood or bodily fluids of an infected person, those who have had unprotected sex with an infected person, and people who share needles or other drug paraphernalia. Additionally, people who have traveled to or lived in countries with high rates of hepatitis, or those born to a mother with hepatitis should also consider testing. According to the CDC, men who have sex with men, and individuals with HIV are also at an increased risk.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can lead to serious health problems if left untreated, including liver damage, cirrhosis, and liver cancer. Early detection can help prevent these complications and allow for timely treatment. Moreover, knowing your status can help prevent the spread of the virus to others.
