Allergy season had been wreaking havoc on my system for over a week and I couldn't take anymore when my chest began rattling from all the wheezing. The wait time was under 15 min. Bradley was so patient and attentive. I had a breathing treatment in the office and meds were called in immediately. Would definitely recommend.

The staff was just wonderful And it was even a holiday And everybody was in great spirits and the doctor was lovely And knowledgeable It was quite a positive experience I appreciate the office checking in to see how things are going and I have made several calls to have a refill on a prescription that was missed in the initial visit and it's been a little challenging getting an answer but I'm sure it'll be fine eventually the dosage was quite clear when verbally discussed with the doctor

Recent COVID-19 Testing Reviews (20)

I came for COVID testing. The staff was very friendly courteous kind. Explained procedures. I feel they did a great job under the situation we are in And how busy you are. Thank you

- Verified patient on 7/10

Iโ€™m in the military and they were really helpful. From booking the appointment to doing the covid testing. Not a long wait at all.

- Verified patient on 11/11

We were very pleased being able to get a Rapid Covid Test on short notice. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were very professional.

- Verified patient on 5/3

The young lady that did my covid test was a little rough, in my opinion she went to far up my Nose. Iโ€™ve been tested before with no problem, this time was VERY uncomfortable. The nurse practitioner only focused on my throat, I also came in about back pain which was not addressed.

- Verified patient on 2/12

I went there for a covid test and I was treated with respect. The nurse was kind and polite. Will definitely go there again.

- Verified patient on 2/22

Covid test went smoothly

- Verified patient on 9/30

All I. Wanted was a Covid test and they wanted me to see a doctor as if I had a medical issue. They never explained that for testing only I should go somewhere else. That was very annoying and time consuming.

- Verified patient on 9/5

I called in prior to my appointment and had a feeling Things wouldnโ€™t go well. I was placed on hold, was left on hold for over fifteen minutes before I hung up and called back. At that point the individual I spoke with seemed as though I was a waste of her time. I canโ€™t understand why you schedule me for an appt., require I come in fifteen minutes early and then make me wait an hour and fifteen minutes past my appt time to be seen. I came back an hour later for my sons Covid test and waited an hour and twenty minutes past our appt time to be taken into our room for his Covid test. We were left sitting in the room where we were placed for an additional half hour and no one came to assist us. I had to reach out to someone to ask if we were going to be seen. Shortly there after we were seen and checked out. I understand things happen during a day but this seems to be the wave of the future with medical facilities. If you are going to ask how an individuals service was please make sure you are willing to hear them and make an effort to do something about it. The care your office offered falls right in line with the lacsidaisical attitude that many medical offices have today.

- Verified patient on 3/17

Went in for a COVID test, which my daughter & I had appointments for. We were finally seen 45-50 minutes after our appointment time- THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!! The patientโ€™s time is just as important as the Doctors and patients with appointment times should be notified beforehand if the office is that far behind!!!

- Verified patient on 4/6

Polite personel, just not accurate on the appt time. Waited about an hour to be seen. Once seen the nurse was polite and quickly proceeded with my covid test.

- Verified patient on 8/19

Getting an appointment online was quick and easy. Ability to do paperwork online was great. Checking in for appt online was great also. Covid test was fast, and the nurse who took care of my son was terrific. Thank you.

- Verified patient on 1/24

Went in for a Covid test, aside from the 50 minute wait time, once they called me in, I was done in 20 minutes tops

- Verified patient on 3/4

This is my 3rd time over the past few months that I have been to this location for Covid testing. The first 2 times everything & everyone was AMAZING!! This time I also came for a Covid test and the staff Stacy that was assigned to take my vitals as well as perform my Covid test was THEE ABSOLUTE WORSE from her attitude to her poor bedside manner and want to be argumentative with me when I asked for someone else to do my test. The first issue was when she went to take my temperature with the โ€œunder tongueโ€ thermometer and I pulled my mask down she said โ€œno keep your mask onโ€ and was about to insert the thermometer in MY NOSE! Then she corrected herself and proceeded to take it under my tongue. Next she starts to perform my Covid swab test and aggressively dug deep in my nose and swirled the swab more then 15 or so times AGGRESSIVELY...when I moved in discomfort she rudely said โ€œyou need to stay stillโ€ When I explained to her that this is my 3rd Covid test here and nobody else aggressively dug that deep and long she rudely said โ€œwell we all have our own techniqueโ€ At that point I asked for someone else to perform the test and Wendy came in and did so with ease! As I was explaining to Wendy what the issue was with Stacy all of a sudden Stacy popped back into the explain herself. When I was done I spoke with the office manager Jessica and she was also very professional & pleasant like all of the other staff besides Stacy. I will continue to use this facility but not Stacy. Even if she was having a bad day like we all do sometimes...her unprofessionalism is unacceptable.

- Verified patient on 5/16

I was seen outside for covid test and strep culture so I canโ€™t judge the cleanliness of the facility.

- Verified patient on 8/29

Went for a covid test as a walk in on 9/30@ 8am. Bit of a wait as is expected. Front desk lady was very patient. Saw 2 aggressive nasty people who were very rude and disrespectful to her. She never lost her composure and treated them as regular patient. Even the people in the waiting room were disgusted by those 2 patients. The fact that she maintain and treated them with pleasant customers service says alot. I would definitely go back. Will update if anything changes. Like a bill.

- Verified patient on 10/1

Kind and professional staff..it was nice to speak to such caring and knowledgeable people. My Covid test was painless and quick! Thank you!

- Verified patient on 12/15

Very professional and caring staff. Made sure all our questions were answered and provided valuable information regarding the best COVID test for us

- Verified patient on 11/19

I went in for a COVID test following a 14 day self-quarantine after a trip to another state for 10 days

- Verified patient on 12/1

I came in for a Covid test and when I called ahead they told me Iโ€™d be a 2 to 3 hour wait. However I got there signed in and was in and out in less than 50 minutes. So Iโ€™d say I was satisfied with the experience. Staff very courteous and professional.

- Verified patient on 9/13

I think because of covid, literally has the nurses on the edge. The reason Iโ€™m saying that is I get the fact they test people there constantly for covid but the way I felt rush and couldnโ€™t really explain how I was feeling belittles me. Example, I came in yesterday because I had a sore throat and couldnโ€™t even swallow my own saliva so once I was called in the nurse expressed to me and said โ€œI see it says here you have a sore throat and I said yes and was trying to explain to her what else I was feeling only to be cut off and rushed to check my vitals (blood pressure and temperature) and covid test with a mouth swab to check and see if I had strep throat. Now I get that sheโ€™s not a doctor but my thing is yiu want to tell me your life story while performing your task and I just heard you but never interrupted or rushed your story. But that was just the one nurse everyone else seemed to be legit nice and then the doctor came, he saw me and checked to see and answered most of my questions but I still had more including if I could return back to work and also let him know I did sleep with the fan on to see if maybe that could be the reason being but he also looked like he was in a rush to get out of there now he was nice but I can tell he was trying to get out of there Iโ€™m assuming to see the next person but the way he exited out of the conversation was left for no room to answer anymore questionsโ€ฆ.so when the same nurse came and said I can go I was getting ready to tell her bout my job and she assumed she could read my mind and ask if I needed a excuse for today and I told her know I wanted to ask the doctor when could I go back to work and as she escorted me out of the area she told me to just sit in the waiting area and someone will get back to me. A whole hour had passed by and I had to legit get up and ask the nice lady at the front that I already had seen a doctor I just wanted to know when I can go back to work. I saw she got up to come right back around to see that it was paper that was sitting back there on the day I could return smh. Which means that it was sitting there for a whole hour but remember I was told that someone would get back to me lol.

Willingboro COVID Testing & Rapid Testing

Types of COVID Tests

There are two types of coronavirus tests (COVID-19 tests) available, those that can test for a current infection (viral test) and those that can test for a past infection (antibody test).

Viral COVID testing can be done in a few different ways, the most common being nose swabs, but saliva tests are becoming more popular. Some tests are processed out on-site and can provide results in as little as 30 minutes. These are called rapid COVID tests. The majority of tests, on the other hand, are collected at the clinic on-site and then submitted to off-site labs for processing. Results can take up to 2-3 days to arrive.

Antibody testing looks for a past infection and may not reveal if you have an active COVID-19 infection because antibodies can take up to three weeks to form in your body. The presence of COVID antibodies may help to prevent you from becoming infected with the same virus again; but, because the clinical understanding of COVID-19 is still developing, it's unclear how long that protection will continue.

Who should get tested for current infection

The CDC currently defines four instances where COVID testing is recommended:

  1. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 including fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.
  2. If you have been in close contact with someone with confirmed COVID-19. Close contact is defined as within 6 feet for a total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period. If you have been vaccinated, or tested positive in the past 3 months and not experiencing symptoms, you do not need to be tested.
  3. If you are unvaccinated and participated in high-risk activities where distancing is not an option. This could include travel, large social or mass gatherings, crowded indoor settings, etc.
  4. If you have been referred to get a COVID test by your healthcare provider or local health department.

How is testing done for COVID-19?

Most COVID tests are collected by a nasal swab. A member of the medical team puts a swab inside your nose for a few seconds on each side to collect the sample. After that, the samples are packaged according to CDC guidelines and tested on-site or transported to a facility for testing. The lab will test samples for the presence of the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), which causes COVID infection and either your care provider or the lab will notify you with the results as soon as they are available.

PCR vs Antigen Testing

Viral COVID tests are available as molecular and antigen tests. The molecular test, also known as a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, usually delivers results within a few days since most of these tests are sent to offsite labs for analysis. The average turnaround time for PCR test results is 48 hours, but in some instances may be significantly longer due to backlogs related to insufficient lab volume and capacity. Antigen tests are also known as rapid tests and have an average turnaround time of between 15 to 30 minutes.

Both PCR and rapid COVID tests can be used to test people exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, those who were close contacts to COVID-19, and those without COVID-19 symptoms who live or work in a high-risk setting (such as a nursing facility); or those individuals who are identified as part of outbreak detection and response. The rapid COVID test is also recommended for the screening of residents or healthcare workers at skilled nursing facilities along with a PCR confirmation, and for repeat screening for the early detection and prevention of outbreaks in congregate settings (such as schools, workplaces, and prisons).

COVID testing is available for free under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, which includes testing for those without health insurance. To reduce the risk of facing extra costs related to COVID testing, ask your primary care doctor to recommend a free COVID test site, and confirm there are no charges or fees for the test that are not covered by your insurance plan. Additionally, avoid getting a COVID test at a hospital or free-standing emergency room, as these facilities may charge fees for COVID testing and related services.

COVID-19 Testing FAQs

  • How much does COVID testing cost in Willingboro?

In many cases, COVID testing can be free. Many state and local health departments continue to offer free testing to community residents as part of their response to the pandemic. In other cases, commercially insured patients, or those on Medicare or Medicaid, may receive testing at no out of pocket cost, or with a nominal office visit copay. For cash paying patients, or those that need rapid COVID testing which will deliver results in under an hour, COVID tests can range from $50 to $150 each. It is best to call your healthcare provider prior to getting tested to better understand the cost of the specific test you require.

  • Where can I get free COVID testing in Willingboro?

COVID testing is available for free under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, which includes testing for those without health insurance. Check with your Willingboro-area health department as they are generally a good source for free COVID tests, or can at least point you in the right direction. Additionally, you can ask your primary care provider to recommend a free COVID test site.

  • Where can I get COVID testing in Willingboro?

COVID testing is available at many outlets near Willingboro including urgent care centers, retail clinics, primary care offices, health departments, and more. Different venues will have different types of tests available, many at different price points. Some testing sites are allowing walk-in patients, however, many are still requiring some degree of advance booking to control patient volume.

  • Where can I get a rapid COVID test in Willingboro?

Rapid testingโ€”both PCR (molecular) and antigen testsโ€”is offered through many Willingboro-area urgent care centers and physician offices, usually at an additional cost ranging from $50 up to $150 per test. Usually this will allow you to get results back in under an hour, and require advanced booking through the provider. However, if you can wait 24 hours for your results, many labs are turning around send-out lab tests in that time frame, which could save you some money.

  • How to make an appointment for COVID testing in Willingboro?

Same-day and next day appointments for COVID testing in Willingboro are bookable directly through Solv. Simply browse the list of healthcare providers conducting COVID tests above, find one with a โ€œBook Onlineโ€ button, and book a time that aligns with your schedule stating โ€œCOVID-19 Testโ€ as your reason for visit.

  • Can I get tested for antibodies if I am sick with COVID-19 Willingboro?

An antibody test for COVID-19 might inform you if you previously had a coronavirus infection. Because it can take between 1โ€“3 weeks after an infection for your body to develop these antibodies, an antibody test during an active infection would not be successful. To see if you are currently infected, you need a viral test.

  • Do I need a COVID test if I have been vaccinated?

Even if you have been fully vaccinated, if you have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19, experts believe that you should be tested yourself, particularly if you are experiencing cold and flu symptoms commonly aligned with the coronavirus.

  • How long does COVID testing take?

Getting a COVID test is quick. Most tests are done with a nasal swab, which takes less than a minute to swab both nostrils. Depending on where you get your COVID test, this means you could be in and out of the testing site in as little as 10-15 minutes. During busy timesโ€”particularly around holidaysโ€”testing sites may be busier than usual and wait times may be longer.

  • How long does it take to get COVID test results in Willingboro?

Most labs are returning send-out molecular (PCR) COVID test results within 24-48 hours of the test. Some sites take longer, so call and ask if the reason for the test is proof for travel. Rapid COVID tests are processed on-site and are able to deliver results in under an hour, sometimes in as little as 15 min.

  • Do COVID tests detect the Delta variant and Omicron variant?

Regular COVID tests are able to detect both the Delta variant and Omicron variant in that they can determine whether or not you have the coronavirus. However, they can't tell which variation is involved. That would necessitate genomic sequencing, which is a different process from regular virus testing that not all labs can undertake. Sequencing is uncommon and can cost up to $100 per test. Since the treatment is the same for any variant, it is not clinically useful to an individual patient to know whether the infection was caused by a variant or not.
