Scheduling was easy and was there early to check in but still had to wait. My visit was pretty quick. My appointment was at 3PM. I got there at 2:45 and I left at 4. Time spent with the provider was probably less than 10 minutes.

I cant' say enough good things about this place. Needed to get in quickly as I am due to leave the county tomorrow for two weeks. I'd never been here before but they were showing same day appointments so I thought I'd give it a go. Very easy and slick, modern sign-up experience via mobile (far superior to legacy providers). Got an appointment for an less than an hour after I signed up. At the place, both the receptionist and the PA-C (Kayla) who saw me were super-friendly and extremely helpful. The facility is modern and clean. The exam was thorough and all my questions were answered. The procedures were very well explained, as were the costs (very transparent - first provider I've been to who could easily and quickly tell me my out of pocket costs based on my insurance). They even had the medication I needed right there in stock at a reasonable price so I didn't need to stop at the pharmacy. This is the best kept secret in Woodinville for healthcare right now. They didn't seem busy at all, which I hope is not a sign they aren't doing well. Give them a try!

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who is at risk of exposure to hepatitis should consider getting tested. This includes individuals who have had unprotected sex, shared needles, or have been in close contact with a person diagnosed with hepatitis. Those who have traveled to areas with high rates of hepatitis, or have certain medical conditions that impair the liver, such as chronic liver disease or HIV, should also consider testing.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, it allows for early detection, which can lead to more effective treatment and prevent serious complications such as liver damage or cancer. Secondly, knowing your status can help prevent the spread of the virus to others. Finally, it can provide peace of mind and allow for appropriate lifestyle changes if necessary.

Hepatitis testing options in Kirkland, WA:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Urgent care and walk-in clinics provide convenient, same-day hepatitis testing. Carbon Health in Lynnwood, WA, is a highly-rated option with a short wait time, friendly staff, and a clean environment. You can book a same-day or next-day appointment through Solv’s website or mobile app.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers can also conduct hepatitis testing. If you have a longstanding relationship with a provider, this could be a comfortable and convenient option for you.

Free STD testing and community health centers

There are also free STD testing and community health centers in Kirkland that provide hepatitis testing. These centers are often income-based, so they may be a good option for those without insurance or with limited financial resources.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits for hepatitis are also available. These kits can be ordered online, used at home, and then sent back to a lab for analysis. This option offers privacy and convenience.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Kirkland

Hepatitis is a significant concern in Kirkland, as in the rest of King County. According to the CDC, the rate of hepatitis in King County has been on the rise in recent years, mirroring national trends. This increase may be due to several factors, including increased testing and awareness, as well as changes in behavior such as increased drug use.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Kirkland

Risk factors for hepatitis in Kirkland include unprotected sex, sharing needles, close contact with a person with hepatitis, and travel to areas with high rates of hepatitis. Additionally, certain medical conditions that impair the liver, such as chronic liver disease or HIV, can increase the risk of hepatitis.

Other STDs in Kirkland

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also prevalent in Kirkland. These STDs often share similar risk factors with hepatitis, and coinfection is not uncommon. As such, those getting tested for hepatitis should also consider getting tested for these other STDs.
