I’m pleased with everything and everyone at the Vista location in Harrison shopping center. I’m grateful they are there.   I would have liked to be able to schedule by phone. They told me I had to do it online. Not bad, though.

Computer systems were down.  Everything took forever.  I could hear other patient conversations through the walls.  Fix the computers.  It took forever.  Staff and doctor was nice.  Care was good.  Admin ruined it.

Had to schedule an appointment for an infection. Scheduling online was very simple. The doctor and nurse were great and had great bedside manner. The only really off putting moment was the front desk girl was talking to someone on her air buds the entire time I was there, she was talking when I got there and was still talking after my appointment. She was not friendly and literally told me I had a copay and took my credit card and went back to talking.

I’ve been here 3 times this year for different issues. The doctor is thorough and explains everything well. She is a very caring person. I could go to a place that’s close to my house but I like Prima a lot more —I’ve seen the same doctor each time, they give you personal attention, and I’ve never had to wait more than about 10 minutes.

I was a walk-in so I expected a long wait but I was seen in less than an hour. The staff member at the desk helped me download all the necessary documents. I am happy to recommend AFC/Urgent Care in Rockville.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who is at risk of contracting hepatitis should consider getting tested. This includes individuals who have been in close contact with someone who has hepatitis, those who have shared needles or other drug paraphernalia, and individuals who have had unprotected sex with multiple partners. Additionally, healthcare and public safety workers who are at risk of exposure to blood on the job, as well as travelers to certain parts of the world where hepatitis is prevalent, should also consider getting tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial for several reasons. First, it allows for early detection, which can lead to more effective treatment and prevent serious liver damage. Second, knowing your hepatitis status can help prevent the spread of the virus to others. According to the CDC, many people with hepatitis do not know they are infected, which can lead to unknowingly spreading the virus.

Hepatitis testing options in Arlington, VA:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Urgent care and walk-in clinics are convenient options for hepatitis testing in Arlington. These facilities typically offer same-day appointments and have shorter wait times than traditional healthcare providers. Night Watch Urgent Care Pediatrics & Adults in Falls Church is a highly-rated option with a short wait time.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers are another option for hepatitis testing. These healthcare professionals can provide comprehensive care and can help manage your health over time if you test positive for the virus.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Community health centers and free STD testing clinics are also available in Arlington. These facilities provide affordable testing options, especially for individuals without insurance.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits are another convenient option for hepatitis testing. These kits can be ordered online, used at home, and then sent back to a lab for analysis.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Arlington

While exact numbers for Arlington are not readily available, the CDC reports that Virginia has a lower incidence rate of hepatitis compared to the national average. However, it's important to note that hepatitis is still present in the community, and testing is essential for prevention and early treatment.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Arlington

Risk factors for hepatitis in Arlington are similar to those in other areas. These include unprotected sex, sharing needles or other drug paraphernalia, occupational exposure to blood, and travel to certain parts of the world.

Other STDs in Arlington

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also present in Arlington. Regular testing for all STDs/STIs is recommended for individuals who are sexually active, especially those with multiple partners.
