Was able to see someone within 15-20 min and they gave me a prescription for my problem. Everyone was very nice and we go here regularly for minor things. It’s close and easy rather than going to primary care Dr and having to wait.

Had been going to this location for all of our pediatric urgent care needs. Was forced to use our insurance today even though I explained that I wanted to be self pay that way we could use our HSA card which was the exact same amount as a self pay customer. Made for a disappointing experience and lady at the front desk just didn’t seem empathetic at all. Staff in back seemed checked out as well. Moving forward we will choose a different pediatric urgent care company for any future needs. Left really bummed.

Front desk is not very friendly and has no urgency at all. Not great for a worried mother. Clinical staff and nurse practitioners are absolutely amazing. Great care!

Thank you to the provider and the MA upfront who helped us today, they were very friendly and compassionate. I’m sorry I didn’t get your names, but there was another young lady up front who wouldn’t even acknowledge me and seemed to be upset because we did come in 1 hour before closing, I can understand how it could be frustrating but I also work at a urgent care and I would never be rude or simply not acknowledge a patient coming in wanting care for their child.  luckily the other MA upfront also noticed she wouldn’t acknowledge me and made sure she heard me which she did she just seemed upset or is having a bad day and choose to purposely ignore me. Besides that it was quick and easy to schedule and get in to be seen  Thank you

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone can contract hepatitis, but certain groups are at higher risk. According to the CDC, these include individuals who have been in close contact with someone infected, those who have traveled to countries with high rates of hepatitis, healthcare workers, individuals with certain medical conditions, and those who engage in high-risk behaviors such as intravenous drug use or unprotected sex.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial because it can lead to serious health problems if left untreated, including liver damage, liver cancer, and even death. Early detection can help prevent these complications and ensure appropriate treatment is started as soon as possible.

Hepatitis testing options in Dallas, TX:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

There are many urgent care and walk-in clinics in Dallas that offer hepatitis testing. One highly rated option is CityDoc Urgent Care, located at 2909 McKinney Ave, Dallas, TX 75204. You can conveniently book same-day and next-day testing appointments through Solv’s website and mobile app.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers are another reliable option for hepatitis testing. They can provide ongoing care and support if you are diagnosed with hepatitis.

Free STD testing and community health centers

For those with limited resources, free STD testing and community health centers are available in Dallas. These centers often provide testing for a variety of STDs, including hepatitis.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits are also available for those who prefer the convenience and privacy of testing at home. These kits can be ordered online and mailed directly to your home.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Dallas

While exact numbers fluctuate, Dallas County has seen a rise in hepatitis cases in recent years, mirroring a national trend. Comparatively, Dallas has a higher rate of hepatitis than nearby counties such as Hill County and McCulloch County.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Dallas

Risk factors for hepatitis in Dallas include unprotected sex, intravenous drug use, and close contact with someone who has the disease. Additionally, certain populations, such as the homeless and immigrant communities, may be at higher risk due to limited access to healthcare and preventive services.

Other STDs in Dallas

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are prevalent in Dallas. The rates of these diseases are also higher in Dallas than in nearby cities like Highland Park, Irving, Hutchins, Duncanville, and Balch Springs. Regular testing is crucial for anyone who is sexually active or at risk due to other factors.
