My second appointment. She knows how to aggressively treat my infections and the dangers they pose for someone with RA. I was so impressed I asked her to be my primary.

Such knowledgeable personnel and pleasant and empathetic to my situation.  Excellent care all the way around.  Excellent Dr was very thorough conservative and took extra time and care.

This location does not give adult RSV tests. That is ridiculous! I have all the symptoms yet they couldn’t test for it.  My cough is much worse than any flu I’ve ever had, yet I was given flu meds after a negative flu and covid test. Please start giving adult RSV tests. Staff was very kind and efficient with what they had to offer. This is day 14! I have been on meds fro other doctors. Never had flu. Wasted $200 on flu pill recommended by your doctor even though I had a negative flu test. All this is is pulmonary.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who has been exposed to the hepatitis virus or who is at risk of exposure should get tested. This includes individuals who have shared needles, had unprotected sex, traveled to countries where hepatitis is common, or have been in close contact with someone who has hepatitis. The CDC also recommends testing for anyone born between 1945 and 1965, as this group has a higher rate of hepatitis C.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial because many people with the disease do not show symptoms until the disease has progressed. Early detection can lead to treatments that can slow the disease progression, prevent liver damage, and decrease the chance of transmission to others. According to the CDC, hepatitis B and C can become chronic conditions that lead to liver cirrhosis, liver cancer, and death if left untreated.

Hepatitis testing options in Celina, TX:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Urgent care centers such as North Tex Medcare Urgent Care and Primary Care in Allen, TX, and Specialty Urgent Care in The Colony, TX, offer hepatitis testing. You can book same-day or next-day appointments at these locations through Solv.

Primary care providers

Your primary care provider can also administer a hepatitis test. If you don't have a primary care provider, Solv can help you find one in the Celina area.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Community health centers often offer free or low-cost hepatitis testing. The number of these centers in the Celina area is 16.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits for hepatitis are available for purchase online. These kits include detailed instructions for collecting a sample, which is then mailed to a lab for testing.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Celina

While specific data for Celina is not readily available, Collin County, where Celina is located, has seen a steady increase in hepatitis cases over the past few years. This trend mirrors the national trend, with the CDC reporting an increase in hepatitis cases across the United States.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Celina

Risk factors for hepatitis in Celina are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include intravenous drug use, unprotected sex, and close contact with someone who has hepatitis. The increase in hepatitis cases in Collin County suggests that these risk factors are prevalent in the area.

Other STDs in Celina

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also a concern in Celina and the surrounding areas. Like hepatitis, these diseases can be asymptomatic and left untreated, can lead to serious health complications. Testing for these STDs is available at the same locations as hepatitis testing.
