Easy to make online appointment I was however disappointed with wait time in waiting room and in operatory after we were taken back I was there a total of 2 hours with a sick 5 year old. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Not sure I would visit there again unless wait time was significantly less. They may need more staff due to volume of patients on a Saturday morning.

I was able to choose a Quest lab location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to the hepatitis virus, or is at risk of exposure, should get tested. This includes people who have been in close contact with someone who has hepatitis, those who have shared needles or other drug paraphernalia, people with multiple sexual partners, and those who have received blood transfusions or organ transplants before 1992. It's also recommended for healthcare workers, people with chronic liver disease, and anyone born between 1945 and 1965, as this age group has a higher rate of hepatitis C.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can lead to serious health complications if left untreated, such as liver damage, liver cancer, and even death. Early detection allows for prompt treatment which can prevent these complications. Moreover, knowing your hepatitis status can help prevent the spread of the virus to others.
