The online scheduling was easy with the time slot availability shown. The hour is great, open later than others in the area, avoided going to ER. I arrived & check-in was smooth & no wait. Aria looked over my wound & stitch up the cut, & the support staff was friendly & professional. I barely felt it during the process, & she periodically reminded me if too painful, she can numb more. Great facility!

Melanie went out of her way to accommodate my husband and me when we came in to get Covid tests. Due to our unforeseen scheduling error, we didn't have an appointment at that time, but she said we could wait in case she could fit us in between patients, even though they were fully booked. She was able to complete our tests quickly and courteously. We were extremely pleased with the care we received. Thanks, Melanie!

This place is a hidden gem! I always try and avoid urgent care places as itโ€™s usually a long wait, lots of people, not the cleanest and just difficult. But here, once I arrived the check in was seamless, the staff was friendly, the office very clean. And to top it off my doctor spent so much time with me ane was kind and listened. Highly recommend!

Juan, the medical assistant was good and receptive. The PA who saw me was also good but I just didn't agree with her recommendations. She was gracious to accept my opinion and she maintained her professionalism despite my disagreement. She did tell me that she was putting me on dexamethasone but forgot to explain the dosage; and also antibiotic but I already know what to do with the antibiotic. I thought the prednisone was a little high--40 mg everyday for seven days. It may be a good dose but for me, it gives me quiver and crave for food that's the reason why I was hesitant to take it. She did offer me to be nebulizer but I said I'll do it at home.

Wait time was good, got in at 1:40pm for my 1:30pm appointment. Staff was friendly and explained things to me. I did kind of get the impression that they were tired of me because I was trying to ask clarifying questions to make sure that later on I will not be thinking about the questions I was afraid to ask :P. Itโ€™s very easy for me to just accept what Iโ€™m told, and not ask anything, but Iโ€™m trying to learn to advocate for myself because it seems like thatโ€™s what is needed in healthcare. But I could tell they were definitely getting tired of me asking my dumb questions and just repeating answers they already gave because I was obviously didnโ€™t hear it the first time. I probably need to work on my communication skills because I donโ€™t feel like either of us felt like we were getting through to the other person. It felt like we both felt like we knew what the other person was saying and that they just werenโ€™t willing to hear it.

Why did you close the Montclair site? Open only on Wednesday for dermatology? Not good. People need urgent care. Not once a week. Open back up

Everything was great, especially my nurse practitioner. I have been there several times for everything from a broken bone to covid symptoms this time and it has always been excellent. Can't figured out the star system, but check the highest rating for me. Thanks for your help.

I was from out of town and was able to get a same day appointment without issue. I only waited about 5 minutes after arriving and all the staff, nurse and doctor were kind and very helpful. My prescriptions were send to the correct location and ready for pick up in an hour. Overall excellent experience. Would definitely recommend.

My husband & I tested positive for COVID this AM. We both were able to very conveniently make online appointments for medical evaluations within 30 minutes of our requests. The UC Village-Albany Urgent Care clinic is modern and attractive with highly efficient, very welcoming, friendly, professional & personable administrative and medical staffs. All of the medical personnel have very kind and empathetic bedside manners and listened very well to (and heard!) and were responsive to our medical concerns and questions. We both were in and out of our appointments within 30 minutes. We are very appreciative and truly grateful to have your clinic so conveniently located near our home. Please keep up the great work!

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who has been exposed to the virus should get tested for hepatitis. This includes individuals who have had unprotected sex, shared needles, or have come into contact with infected blood. Additionally, those who have traveled to regions with high rates of hepatitis or have been in close contact with someone who has hepatitis should also consider getting tested. According to the CDC, people born between 1945 and 1965, also known as baby boomers, are particularly at risk and should get tested, as they are five times more likely to have hepatitis C.

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can lead to serious health problems if left untreated, including liver damage, liver cancer, and even death. Early detection can help prevent these complications and allow for timely treatment. It's also important to get tested to prevent the spread of the virus to others.
