So amazing these caring souls that work here! I came in last minute with my daughter and in the kerfuffle of illness and getting her there on time we forgot her ID. The appointment I had originally was at 6:30 and they close at 7. We didnโ€™t get back there with the ID until 6:50. The angel at the front desk called me to see if I was still coming! They helped us thoroughly, thoughtfully and with incredible kindness. Thank you immensely.

The PA was kind and non alarming!ย  I didnโ€™t feel that way with the previous visit 2 days before! She explained things carefully, so I understood what I was dealing with and prescribed the correct medication! The previous PA told me I would get a call with the results of my urine ย test, but I never got that call and my antibiotics needed to be changed. I developed a fever and came in again! Not sure why I never got that call???

Was able to make a fast easy appointment for next day online. But wait time in clinic was very long even though I did have an appointment. I think AME should do reminder messages of appointments or when patient needs testing as well.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who is at risk of contracting hepatitis should get tested. This includes individuals who have been in close contact with someone who has hepatitis, people who have traveled to areas with high rates of hepatitis, and those who engage in high-risk behaviors such as unprotected sex or drug use. According to the CDC, it's also crucial for healthcare workers and those with chronic liver disease to get tested due to their increased risk of exposure.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is vital for several reasons. First, it allows for early detection, which can significantly improve treatment outcomes. Second, it helps prevent the spread of the disease to others. Lastly, it can provide peace of mind for those who may be at risk. According to the CDC, early detection and treatment of hepatitis can reduce the risk of liver disease and other complications.

Hepatitis testing options in Garden Grove, CA:

These facilities often offer same-day appointments, reducing the waiting time for those who need immediate testing. One such location is Carbon Health in nearby Cypress, CA, which is highly rated and known for its short wait times.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers are another excellent resource for hepatitis testing. They can provide comprehensive testing and follow-up care. It's worth noting that appointments may need to be scheduled in advance.

Free STD testing and community health centers

For those without insurance or with limited resources, free STD testing and community health centers offer an affordable option. These centers provide essential healthcare services, including hepatitis testing, to the community.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits for hepatitis are also available. These kits allow individuals to collect a sample at home and send it to a lab for testing. This can be a convenient and private option for many.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Garden Grove

While specific data for Garden Grove is not readily available, Orange County, where Garden Grove is located, has seen a steady increase in hepatitis cases over the past few years, according to the CDC. This trend mirrors the national trend, which has also seen an increase in hepatitis cases.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Garden Grove

Risk factors for hepatitis in Garden Grove are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include unprotected sex, drug use, and close contact with someone who has hepatitis. Additionally, certain occupations, such as healthcare workers, are at an increased risk due to potential exposure.

Other STDs in Garden Grove

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also prevalent in Garden Grove. As with hepatitis, these STDs can be tested for at local urgent care centers, primary care providers, community health centers, and at-home testing services. You can book same-day and next-day testing appointments at each through Solvโ€™s website and mobile app.

Remember, early detection is key to effective treatment and prevention of further spread. Therefore, if you are at risk, it is important to get tested.
