This place is a hidden gem! I always try and avoid urgent care places as it’s usually a long wait, lots of people, not the cleanest and just difficult. But here, once I arrived the check in was seamless, the staff was friendly, the office very clean. And to top it off my doctor spent so much time with me ane was kind and listened. Highly recommend!

The online scheduling was easy with the time slot availability shown. The hour is great, open later than others in the area, avoided going to ER. I arrived & check-in was smooth & no wait. Aria looked over my wound & stitch up the cut, & the support staff was friendly & professional. I barely felt it during the process, & she periodically reminded me if too painful, she can numb more. Great facility!

Wait time was good, got in at 1:40pm for my 1:30pm appointment. Staff was friendly and explained things to me. I did kind of get the impression that they were tired of me because I was trying to ask clarifying questions to make sure that later on I will not be thinking about the questions I was afraid to ask :P. It’s very easy for me to just accept what I’m told, and not ask anything, but I’m trying to learn to advocate for myself because it seems like that’s what is needed in healthcare. But I could tell they were definitely getting tired of me asking my dumb questions and just repeating answers they already gave because I was obviously didn’t hear it the first time. I probably need to work on my communication skills because I don’t feel like either of us felt like we were getting through to the other person. It felt like we both felt like we knew what the other person was saying and that they just weren’t willing to hear it.

My husband & I tested positive for COVID this AM. We both were able to very conveniently make online appointments for medical evaluations within 30 minutes of our requests. The UC Village-Albany Urgent Care clinic is modern and attractive with highly efficient, very welcoming, friendly, professional & personable administrative and medical staffs. All of the medical personnel have very kind and empathetic bedside manners and listened very well to (and heard!) and were responsive to our medical concerns and questions. We both were in and out of our appointments within 30 minutes. We are very appreciative and truly grateful to have your clinic so conveniently located near our home. Please keep up the great work!

Juan, the medical assistant was good and receptive. The PA who saw me was also good but I just didn't agree with her recommendations. She was gracious to accept my opinion and she maintained her professionalism despite my disagreement. She did tell me that she was putting me on dexamethasone but forgot to explain the dosage; and also antibiotic but I already know what to do with the antibiotic. I thought the prednisone was a little high--40 mg everyday for seven days. It may be a good dose but for me, it gives me quiver and crave for food that's the reason why I was hesitant to take it. She did offer me to be nebulizer but I said I'll do it at home.

Melanie went out of her way to accommodate my husband and me when we came in to get Covid tests. Due to our unforeseen scheduling error, we didn't have an appointment at that time, but she said we could wait in case she could fit us in between patients, even though they were fully booked. She was able to complete our tests quickly and courteously. We were extremely pleased with the care we received. Thanks, Melanie!

My prescriptions were send to the correct location and ready for pick up in an hour. Overall excellent experience. Would definitely recommend.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Hepatitis, a disease that causes inflammation of the liver, can affect anyone but certain individuals are at a higher risk. According to the CDC, individuals who should consider getting tested for hepatitis include those who have been exposed to blood or body fluids of an infected person, have had unprotected sex with an infected person, have used intravenous drugs, or have lived with someone who has the disease. Additionally, if you were born between 1945 and 1965, or have traveled to or lived in a country where hepatitis is common, you should consider getting tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial because early detection can prevent severe health complications such as liver damage, cirrhosis, and liver cancer. According to the CDC, many people with hepatitis do not experience symptoms until the disease has progressed, making regular testing important for those at risk. Early detection also allows for prompt treatment, which can slow disease progression and prevent transmission to others.

Hepatitis testing options in Danville, CA:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Urgent care and walk-in clinics provide convenient, same-day hepatitis testing. One such clinic is Instant Urgent Care in nearby San Ramon, which can be booked through Solv's website or mobile app.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers can also administer hepatitis tests. If you have a primary care provider in Danville, consider scheduling an appointment for testing.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Community health centers often offer free or low-cost hepatitis testing. These centers are a valuable resource for those without insurance or those who cannot afford testing elsewhere.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits are available for those who prefer privacy or cannot travel to a clinic. These kits can be purchased online, and once the test is completed, it can be sent back to a lab for analysis.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Danville

While specific data for Danville is not readily available, Contra Costa County, where Danville is located, has seen a steady rate of hepatitis cases in recent years. This rate is similar to those in nearby counties such as San Mateo and Yolo. However, it is important to note that the actual number of hepatitis cases may be higher, as many people with the disease do not show symptoms and therefore do not get tested.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Danville

Risk factors for hepatitis in Danville are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include unprotected sex, drug use, and exposure to infected blood or body fluids. Additionally, individuals who have traveled to countries where hepatitis is common may be at risk.

Other STDs in Danville

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are present in Danville. The rates of these diseases are similar to those in nearby cities like Diablo, Alamo, and San Ramon. Regular testing for all STDs is recommended for those who are sexually active and at risk.
