Urgent care
Son experienced a dog bite and was seen after payment was received. The experience was great until they didn’t have all necessary supplies to provide two stitches. There hook was too small causing my son to experience pain from trying to attempt the stitch on multiple tries. The stitches have now busted less than 24 hours later. I do not want my son to go through that again. Will need to take him to another provider to replace the stitches.

I was really worried about my babies eye this past week and I looked up some places to go to see about getting the right help for him. And found this place and booking the appointment online was fast and easy having everything done before we came in was great and coming into the establishment was great as well. To check in did take long and having to wait didn’t take long at all either. And the employees are all really nice and kind they have the best customer service that have ever experienced at a doctor’s office. And the doctor was great she answered all my questions and concern that had and I left there feeling a lot better then when I came in.

Urgent Care in Midlothian, TX

Midlothian is a growing suburb in Ellis County, Texas, with a population approaching 40,000 residents situated about 25 miles southwest of Dallas and south of Fort Worth. Known for its cement and steel manufacturing industries alongside its expanding residential communities, Midlothian has attracted families seeking more affordable housing within commuting distance of the DFW Metroplex. Urgent care options in Midlothian and nearby Waxahachie serve the area, while Baylor Scott & White Medical Center–Waxahachie provides hospital-level acute care. For a broader range of walk-in care options, residents also access the Dallas urgent care network via US-67.

When should you use urgent care instead of the ER in Midlothian?

Urgent care is appropriate for most non-emergency conditions: ear and sinus infections, strep throat, UTIs, minor sprains and lacerations, rashes, and respiratory illness. For Midlothian's significant industrial workforce, urgent care also handles occupational health needs including injury evaluation and pre-employment physicals. Use the emergency room—at Baylor Scott & White Waxahachie—for chest pain, stroke symptoms, major trauma, severe respiratory distress, or any life-threatening condition. Urgent care staff can assess urgency and arrange transfers when hospital-level care is needed.

What do urgent care clinics in Midlothian treat?

Walk-in clinics serving Midlothian treat adults and children for the full range of acute conditions. Industrial and cement industry workers frequently use urgent care for occupational injuries, drug screenings, and pre-employment physicals. DOT physicals near Midlothian, TX serve the commercial drivers operating along US-287 and US-67. Sports physicals near Midlothian, TX are available for local school athletic programs ahead of each season.

Seasonal health in Midlothian and Ellis County

Midlothian's North Texas location means residents experience prolonged allergy seasons: cedar in winter, oak and grass in spring. Summer heat is extreme across Ellis County, with heat index values regularly exceeding 100°F. According to Ellis County Health Department,1 the county monitors public health trends and maintains programs for underserved residents. Winter respiratory illness seasons—including influenza—drive elevated clinic volumes from November through February. Industrial air emissions from cement manufacturing contribute to local air quality considerations for residents with respiratory conditions.

Who lives in Midlothian, TX?

According to the U.S. Census Bureau QuickFacts,2 Midlothian has grown substantially as DFW's suburban expansion extends into Ellis County. The community is predominantly families with school-age children, drawn by larger lot sizes, newer construction, and relative affordability compared to closer-in suburbs. A segment of the population is uninsured or covered through STAR Medicaid.

Does urgent care near Midlothian accept STAR Medicaid and other insurance?

Texas Medicaid is administered through the STAR managed care program, which provides health coverage for qualifying low-income children, pregnant women, and eligible adults, as described by Texas Health and Human Services.3 STAR members should verify their specific managed care organization's network before visiting, as covered clinics vary by plan. According to KFF State Health Facts,4 Texas has one of the highest uninsured rates in the United States, making self-pay pricing transparency an important access consideration for residents across the state.
