Urgent care
I was really worried about my babies eye this past week and I looked up some places to go to see about getting the right help for him. And found this place and booking the appointment online was fast and easy having everything done before we came in was great and coming into the establishment was great as well. To check in did take long and having to wait didn’t take long at all either. And the employees are all really nice and kind they have the best customer service that have ever experienced at a doctor’s office. And the doctor was great she answered all my questions and concern that had and I left there feeling a lot better then when I came in.

Urgent care
Son experienced a dog bite and was seen after payment was received. The experience was great until they didn’t have all necessary supplies to provide two stitches. There hook was too small causing my son to experience pain from trying to attempt the stitch on multiple tries. The stitches have now busted less than 24 hours later. I do not want my son to go through that again. Will need to take him to another provider to replace the stitches.

Urgent care
My child had a sore throat so I searched for an urgent care for kids winfe the one I used to go to closed it's office. The doctor was nice and attentive it was just the front desk I had a problem with. I always get a print out when I leave an urgent care, but that day they wouldn't give me one and advised me to come in tomorrow to get it or request it online, like what the heck!. It was just a print out which. This was the close urgent care that accepts my insurance. Other than that the doctor was friendly with my kid and super nice.

Urgent Care in Irving, TX

Irving is the corporate-headquarters capital of healthcare in Dallas-Fort Worth. CHRISTUS Health, McKesson, and Vizient all run their global operations out of Las Colinas, and DFW International Airport — the city's western border — supports more than 228,000 jobs. Urgent care here is shaped less by safety-net dynamics and more by corporate office workers, airport personnel, and a daytime population that needs fast occupational health.

What services do Irving urgent care clinics offer?

Irving walk-in clinics handle acute illness, injury care, occupational health, and routine preventive services in one visit. Typical services include rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, and RSV testing, sutures for lacerations, splinting and fracture care with on-site x-ray, IV fluids, asthma and allergy treatment, STI screening, DOT and pre-employment physicals, drug screens, and travel-related vaccinations. Major providers include Concentra Las Colinas (5910 N MacArthur Blvd, an anchor for DFW Airport and corporate occupational health), CareNow Urgent Care (multiple locations including LBJ Freeway and N. Belt Line), Baylor Scott & White Urgent Care–Irving, MedExpress Urgent Care, Integra Urgent Care Las Colinas, and Texas Health Breeze Urgent Care. Many Irving clinics offer same-day workers' comp and DOT physical scheduling, plus bilingual Spanish, Hindi, and Gujarati support reflecting the city's South Asian and Latino population mix.

How long are urgent care wait times in Irving?

Most Irving walk-in clinics see patients within 15 to 45 minutes, and online check-in through Solv typically cuts that to under 10 minutes. Wait times spike on weekday evenings between 5 and 8 p.m. as corporate-park workers come off shift, and on Monday mornings when weekend issues catch up with patients. Concentra Las Colinas runs heavier morning volume because of DOT physicals and pre-employment drug screens scheduled before work shifts. Booking online lets you hold your slot and arrive close to your reserved window.

Does urgent care in Irving accept STAR Medicaid and major insurance?

Yes. Most Irving urgent care clinics accept Texas STAR Medicaid managed care plans, Medicare, TRICARE for nearby military families, and major commercial insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare). Irving sits in the STAR Dallas Service Area; STAR MCOs include Amerigroup, Molina Healthcare of Texas, Parkland Community HealthFirst, Superior HealthPlan, and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan. Texas has not expanded Medicaid under the ACA, and Dallas County has the highest uninsured rate in North Texas at roughly 21%.1 Most clinics post transparent cash-pay rates and offer self-pay options for the uninsured.

When should you choose urgent care instead of the ER in Irving?

Use urgent care for non-life-threatening illness and injury — fevers, sore throats, ear infections, UTIs, sprains, simple fractures, allergic reactions, and laceration repair. Save the ER for chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe head trauma, uncontrolled bleeding, or breathing emergencies. Inside Irving, Medical City Las Colinas (HCA) is a 24/7 ER and Texas DSHS-designated Level III Trauma Center. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center–Irving operates a full-service ER but is not trauma-designated. The nearest Level I trauma centers — Parkland Memorial Hospital and Methodist Dallas Medical Center — are roughly 12 to 15 miles east. Urgent care visits typically resolve in under an hour at a fraction of the cost of an ER visit.

What city-specific health concerns drive urgent care visits in Irving?

The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is an EPA "serious" ozone nonattainment area, reclassified from moderate to serious effective July 22, 2024, with a 2026 attainment year.2 Irving sits at the geographic core of the nine-county nonattainment zone — wedged between LBJ Freeway, SH-114, SH-183, and DFW Airport — and saw seven or more unhealthy-air days by early July 2025.3 Ground-level ozone drives asthma exacerbations, allergic rhinitis, and pediatric respiratory urgent-care visits from May through September. Corporate-park flu clusters in late fall and DFW Airport-related travel illnesses (norovirus, traveler's diarrhea, respiratory viruses) are also year-round drivers. Concentra Las Colinas anchors the city's occupational health network with workers' comp and DOT physicals for the airport, logistics, and corporate campuses.
