I was not told that you use only Labcor until after the blood was drawn. I’m required to use only Quest.

Had an ear ache (swimmers ear) from swimming the previous weekend and it progressively got worse. Was able to schedule the appointment quickly and when I got there I realized I went to the wrong Live Urgent Care. They quickly and efficiently got that screw up on my part straightened out and I was in and out in about 20 minutes.

Allergy season had been wreaking havoc on my system for over a week and I couldn't take anymore when my chest began rattling from all the wheezing. The wait time was under 15 min. Bradley was so patient and attentive. I had a breathing treatment in the office and meds were called in immediately. Would definitely recommend.

I hate doctors!!!  But this was the best experience ever.  Major infection from poison ivy and an insane and painful full body rash.  The staff and Dr. were great and exceeded my expectations.  I got information and the meds needed to recover (soon hopefully). Also picked up some referrals. A big thank you to this Doc and his crew.  Five Stars!

I had a low grade fever and fatigue over the weekend and walked in on Monday. Waited maybe 5 minutes. Staff was attentive, ran some tests, did a chest x-ray and concluded I had some viral infection. Wrote me an Rx for conjunctivitis, but just told me to rest and drink plenty of fluids, take Ibuprofen every 4 hours, which I have been doing. As of Wednesday morning I still have the chills and fever, so I wish they would have given me a Z pack. I will see how today goes but may need to come back.

About Lyme Disease Testing

Lyme Disease Testing is a diagnostic test used to detect the presence of Borrelia burgdorferi, the bacterium that causes Lyme disease. Lyme disease is a tick-borne infection that can lead to various symptoms, including fever, headache, muscle and joint aches, and a characteristic skin rash called erythema migrans. Lyme Disease Testing is crucial for early detection and appropriate treatment to prevent the progression of the infection and potential complications.

Who Should Get Tested

If you reside in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and have been exposed to tick-prone areas or have noticed symptoms consistent with Lyme disease, Lyme Disease Testing is recommended. Testing is particularly important if you have a history of tick bites or outdoor activities in wooded or grassy regions.

Tests Included in Lyme Disease Testing

Lyme Disease Testing typically involves:

  • Lyme Disease Antibody Test: Measures the presence of antibodies produced in response to B. burgdorferi infection.

Interpreting the Results

Importance of Lyme Disease Testing

Lyme Disease Testing is important for:

  • Early detection and treatment of Lyme disease
  • Preventing the progression of the infection to more severe stages
  • Providing appropriate medical care to manage symptoms and prevent complications
  • Identifying individuals at risk of long-term complications, such as Lyme arthritis or neurological issues

Following the Test

After Lyme Disease Testing, healthcare providers discuss the results with individuals and formulate a treatment plan based on the test results and clinical presentation. Early treatment with antibiotics is effective in resolving the infection and preventing complications.

Lyme Disease Testing is a valuable tool in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to diagnose and manage Lyme disease promptly, ensuring better outcomes and quality of life for individuals affected by this tick-borne infection.
