I went in without a reservation and was there when the opened up at 8:00 am. They took me in and registered me quickly, I was seen very soon after, and there turned out to be no sign of strep. I was very competently helped. Alex was absolutely great. She was personable and very knowledgeable with great suggestions on strategy for curing my very bad cold, including the right medicines and strategies for taking them. I was so impressed that, if I have another need to see a doctor I would go there instead of trying to secure an appointment with my GP at Methodist Hospital. I am sure I will be back at some point and I would definitely make a reservation to go when Alex was there. I recommend this health care option.

I did not feel well for a few days and then woke up with a terrible sore throat and no voice.  I was able to make an appointment that morning and was in and out quickly with a prescription called in.  The entire office was so nice and I’m feeling much better a couple days later.

I had a allergic reaction and my top lip was really swollen. My experience was great, from check in to speaking with the nurse. I felt the nurse was a straight shooter as if I was talking to a friend. The lady who checked me in after I showed her my lips because I had my mask on, she was prepared once the nurse was done speaking with me. I really appreciate the both of them and I am doing better. Thank you again..

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who has been exposed to the virus or is at risk should get tested for hepatitis. This includes those who have had unprotected sex, shared needles, or have a history of STDs. It's also important for those who have traveled to countries where hepatitis is common, have been in close contact with someone who has hepatitis, or have chronic liver disease to get tested. According to the CDC, people born between 1945 and 1965, often referred to as baby boomers, are five times more likely to have hepatitis C and should also get tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial for several reasons. First, it allows for early detection, which can prevent serious liver damage and complications such as cirrhosis and liver cancer. Second, it helps prevent the spread of the virus to others. Lastly, knowing your hepatitis status can inform decisions about lifestyle and healthcare, such as whether to get vaccinated or start treatment.

The prevalence of hepatitis in Houston has been increasing over the years, a trend that is consistent with national data.
