Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can help prevent the spread of the disease and lead to early treatment, reducing the risk of severe liver damage. According to the CDC, many people with hepatitis do not know they have it until they experience serious liver problems, which can be avoided with early detection and treatment.
