Nice and capable staff for Covid 19 test. Very busy, so a bit of a wait for callbacks and when at site, and needed to call at site to get staff to come to car. Signed up for antibody test beforehand but not available when I got there. I am glad because the test is up to $200, depending on how much insurance covers. Call insurance first for sure.

Checked in for a UTI. Was in and out with a prescription in about 35 minutes. The doctor or (PA) was very helpful. I was supposed to start Zepbound (GLP1) the following day but have decided to put it off 5 days until I have finished the antibiotic. Very helpful discussion. I would definitely recommend AFC Urgent Care.

I am always appreciative of the connivence this office offers.   Today I had a gentleman doctor and I thought although very upbeat and friendly, I was uncomfortable with the religious questions.  I personally believe there is a time and place, at this appointment was not it.  One, I didn’t feel well and the appointment should have stayed about that.  Two, he is  unaware of my circumstances and that was not the place.  I heard how he had converted, he asked me if I did, and it was very uncomfortable because again he had no idea of my circumstances A suggestion to possibly keep the appointment chatter on a lighter note. People coming in don’t feel well to begin with, any kind of heavy conversation may lead to some awkwardness (and it absolutely did).   Faith, and religion should be off the table for light conversation   Thank you.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Hepatitis, a disease characterized by inflammation of the liver, can be caused by several different viruses, including Hepatitis A, B, and C. The CDC recommends that all adults aged 18 and older get tested for Hepatitis C, regardless of risk factors. In addition, those who have engaged in risky behaviors such as sharing needles or having unprotected sex, as well as those born between 1945 and 1965, should also get tested for Hepatitis B and C.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial because many people with the disease do not exhibit symptoms until liver damage has occurred. Early detection can lead to treatments that may delay or halt disease progression, prevent health problems, and decrease the likelihood of transmission. According to the CDC, chronic Hepatitis B and C can lead to serious health issues, like cirrhosis or liver cancer.
