From walking in the door, the girls up front registering and paying, zero wait time, MA accessing and vitals, my seats, blood, shots, and of course the dr visit was excellent. Such knowledgeable personnel and pleasant and empathetic to my situation.  Excellent care all the way around.  Excellent Dr was very thorough conservative and took extra time and care.

Urgent care in Springtown, TX

Springtown is a small Parker County city about 30 miles northwest of Fort Worth, with urgent care needs served by clinics in Weatherford, Azle, and far west Fort Worth. Book a same-day visit nearby or in urgent care in Dallas in under a minute.

What services do urgent care clinics in Springtown offer?

Urgent care for Springtown residents typically comes from Weatherford, Azle, and west Fort Worth — handling flu, strep, UTIs, sprains, lacerations, ear infections, sports physicals, and on-site labs and X-ray.2 Medical City Weatherford and Texas Health Resources anchor the area's hospital options, with affiliated CareNow Urgent Care clinics along US-377 and SH-199.

Does urgent care in Springtown accept STAR (Texas Medicaid)?

Most urgent care clinics serving the Springtown area accept STAR, the Texas Medicaid managed care program administered by Texas Health and Human Services.1 Because Texas hasn't expanded Medicaid, eligibility is largely limited to children, pregnant women, and very low-income families — KFF tracks Texas as the state with the highest uninsured rate in the U.S.3 Confirm STAR MCO acceptance with the specific clinic before booking.

How does Springtown urgent care relate to Dallas?

Springtown has roughly 3,000 residents and serves as a small community hub in eastern Parker County, with a workforce heavily tied to ranching, oil-and-gas service, and commuting into the broader Fort Worth area.4 Patients route east into Weatherford or Fort Worth, and onward into urgent care in Dallas for specialty referrals.

Urgent Care Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are there urgent care clinics in Springtown?

Yes. Springtown, TX has walk-in urgent care available either directly in town or within a short drive in adjacent communities. Most clinics offer same-day visits for common illnesses and minor injuries, with on-site labs and X-ray where needed. Use Solv to see real-time availability and book a slot before you walk in.
  • Does urgent care in Springtown accept STAR (Texas Medicaid)?

Most urgent care clinics serving the Springtown area accept STAR, the Texas Medicaid managed care program administered by Texas Health and Human Services. STAR is delivered through several managed care organizations (Amerigroup, Molina, Superior, United, etc.), so confirm with the specific clinic which MCOs they contract with before booking. Texas has not expanded Medicaid under the ACA, so working-age adults outside the standard STAR eligibility criteria typically do not qualify.
  • What insurance do urgent care centers in Springtown accept?

Most Springtown-area urgent care clinics accept commercial insurance plans (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Humana), Medicare, and TRICARE for active-duty military and veterans. Many also accept STAR (Texas Medicaid). Cash-pay and self-pay options are widely available — average urgent care visit costs run $100-$250 depending on services. Confirm your specific plan and copay with the clinic before booking.
  • Should I go to urgent care or the ER in Springtown?

Urgent care handles non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries — flu, strep, UTIs, sprains, lacerations needing stitches, minor burns, ear infections, mild asthma flares — usually for a fraction of an ER bill and with shorter waits. Go to the ER (or call 911) for chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe trauma, difficulty breathing, severe abdominal pain, head injury with confusion, or any condition that feels life-threatening. The nearest hospital ER for Springtown residents is Medical City Weatherford.
  • How far is the nearest hospital from Springtown?

The nearest full-service hospital ER to Springtown is Medical City Weatherford, about 12 miles south along US-281. For non-life-threatening conditions, urgent care clinics in Azle and Weatherford are typically faster and significantly cheaper than the ER.
