Urgent care
I was treated very nicely but condition did not improve after trying what was suggested so ended up at hospital Tuesday PM. I was treated at Peconic Bay Hospital and if you want to see what was really wrong you can look at my records there. I don't know how to rate quality of care at your place?

I had to visit the clinic on a Sunday morning and received very friendly and compassionate care from all of the staff, especially Jessica Paulson P.A. There was very little wait time and I felt as though everyone genuinely cared for my wellbeing. Would recommend to anyone needing urgent care services.

Urgent care
I use DOCS for my primary care and they are phenomenal. The doctors there are great. The staff is phenomenal from the front desk people who really do care about their patients. They are very respectful and caring. I am a very picky person and when I tell you that I would refer DOCS to anybody, I would definitely refer them all day any day as I stated they are very caring very respectful as many places like this, I've been to staff has been horrible but here they are great. I don't have one bad thing to say continue what you guys are doing and thank you so much for being so awesome!

Urgent care
I was a walk in patient. As soon as I arrived, the staff gave me the information update form. When I finished filing out the form I gave back to the staff so they could update my files on the computer. It was about 15 minutes later that I was taken into an examining room where the nurse took my vital signs. She was very polite and gentle when using the various instruments. When she had finished. she notified the doctor that she had taken the vital signs and everything was in the normal range. The doctor then gathered all of the supplies and equipment that was need to do the procedure which was to clean the wax out of my ears. When he was squirting the fluid into my ear, it was somewhat more painful than it had been on previous occasions. Aside from that, the doctor did a very good job of restoring my normal hearing. YES, I would recommend this provider. This is the second time that I have been to this facility.

Urgent care in Aquebogue, NY

Aquebogue is a small hamlet on the North Fork of Long Island in the Town of Riverhead, surrounded by farmland and wineries with a small year-round population and substantial seasonal visitor traffic. You can book a same-day visit at an urgent care clinic in Aquebogue, NY on Solv, or see options for urgent care in New York when you need a clinic outside the immediate area.

What services do urgent care clinics in Aquebogue offer?

Aquebogue urgent care clinics treat the everyday acute issues that don't need a hospital — minor injuries, lacerations, sprains and strains, flu and strep testing, COVID-19 testing, UTIs, rashes, ear infections, pink eye, minor burns, and seasonal allergies. Most also offer on-site X-ray, lab draws, IV fluids for dehydration, sports and DOT physicals, occupational health and workers' compensation visits, and travel vaccines. Northwell Peconic Bay Medical Center anchors the East End, with several walk-in clinics serving Riverhead, Aquebogue, and Mattituck.2 For an everyday problem that needs same-day attention, a walk-in clinic is typically faster and significantly less expensive than an emergency-room visit. Most Aquebogue clinics handle both adults and children, support online booking with a published estimated wait time, and process electronic insurance verification at check-in. Many also offer telehealth visits as an alternative when symptoms don't require an in-person evaluation, which is useful for simple respiratory symptoms, medication refills, or follow-up consultations.

Does urgent care in Aquebogue accept Medicaid?

Many urgent care clinics in Aquebogue accept Medicaid, New York's Medicaid program administered by NYSDOH.1 Coverage varies by provider — managed care plan participation differs across networks, so confirm acceptance of your specific plan and managed care organization before booking. Some independent clinics participate with a narrower subset of Medicaid plans than the larger hospital-affiliated walk-in networks. According to KFF State Health Facts, Medicaid covers a meaningful share of New York residents and is one of the most common payers at retail-style urgent care centers nationally.3 If a particular clinic doesn't accept your plan, ask about cash-pay rates — most sites publish a transparent visit price for self-pay patients.

How does Aquebogue urgent care relate to New York?

Aquebogue sits at the start of the North Fork wine country, about 80 miles east of Manhattan. Most residents use Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead for hospital-level care rather than traveling to New York City. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Aquebogue had a population of approximately approximately 2,600 as of the 2020 Census, which shapes both the density of clinics and the mix of providers you'll find locally.4 For most everyday issues — fevers, sprains, lacerations, strep — local walk-in clinics resolve the visit without ever needing a trip into the larger metro. When a clinic in town is closed or fully booked, residents often expand the search to urgent care in New York for additional walk-in and bookable options, particularly for late-night or holiday visits when smaller-town hours are more limited.

Costs for a typical Aquebogue urgent care visit run substantially lower than an emergency-room visit for the same problem. Most walk-in clinics collect a copay or coinsurance at the front desk for insured patients, with cash-pay rates for common visit types like strep tests, UTI evaluation, school and sports physicals, and basic injury care typically published on the clinic's website or visible during booking. Choosing a walk-in clinic over the ER for non-emergency problems saves both money and time — most urgent care visits resolve in under an hour, compared with multi-hour ER waits during busy periods. When you book on Solv, you can compare insurance acceptance, cash-pay pricing, and current wait times across clinics in Aquebogue and the surrounding area before you arrive.
