Pain from Sciatica had become unbearable. I wasn't able to schedule an appointment with my doctor, but I went online to Carbon Health's website and had no trouble booking an appointment. I was seen on time, the facility was clean & comfortable, the check-in process was hassle free, and the young lady at the front desk was polite and professional. Dr. Upton was a tremendous help to me. In addition to being able to prescribe the right medication for my condition, she advised me regarding lifestyle changes that might be beneficial. Above all - SHE LISTENED to me! I would certainly recommend this location to my friends and neighbors.

Overview of STD Testing in Gardena

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for STDs, especially if they have multiple partners or are not consistently using protection, such as condoms. This is particularly important for individuals between the ages of 15-24, who account for half of all new STD cases each year according to the CDC. Pregnant women should also get tested as STDs can have serious health impacts for both mother and baby.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, many STDs do not show symptoms, so a person could be infected and not know it. Untreated STDs can lead to serious health complications, including infertility, pelvic inflammatory disease, and increased risk of contracting HIV. Regular testing allows for early detection and treatment, reducing the risk of these complications and preventing the spread of STDs to others.
