I went to the Urgent Care Facility on my insurance providers website and it had closed the previous September. I went to the next one one the provider’s list 8 miles away. They were not open on weekends. I went into Indigo in my town thinking I would get turned away again. Their wait was too long; but they found an opening for me at another Indigo 3 miles away. They took me in right away. I was so relieved to get my very bad cough and sinusitis addressed. They were great!

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who is at risk for hepatitis should get tested. This includes individuals who have been exposed to blood or body fluids of someone with hepatitis, those who have had unprotected sex, people who have shared needles, or those who have traveled to areas with high rates of hepatitis. It's also recommended for healthcare workers, and individuals with chronic liver disease or HIV.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can lead to serious health problems if left untreated, including liver damage, liver cancer, and even death. Early detection allows for prompt treatment, which can slow the progression of the disease, prevent complications, and reduce the risk of transmission to others.

This trend is consistent with national data, which shows an increase in hepatitis, particularly Hepatitis C, across the United States.
