The front desk lady was very nice and helpful but the medical assistant lady was very rude. She was not kids friendly at all. She needs to be friendly, kind and respectful to the patients.

Dose of amoxicillin was wrong.  Max dose for big kid and adult is 500mg twice daily for strep throat.  Doc gave 7ml bid for 400mg/5ml. That would have been over.  We are a medical family so we’re able to check that.  We are now giving her 6.25 mg twice a day two equal 500 mg twice a day with liquid amoxicillin because her weight pushed her into the adult dosing schedule.  As a medical provider, I know sometimes calculations can go awry. Consider re-checking. Our pharmacist also did not catch that.  We know that happens sometimes. However,  If your EMR does not catch that, especially consider re-checking each time.  Appreciate you being open on Labor Day.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to blood or body fluids of an infected person should get tested for hepatitis. This includes individuals who have had unprotected sex, shared needles, or had a needle-stick injury in a healthcare setting. People born between 1945 and 1965, or who have traveled to or lived in countries where hepatitis is common, should also get tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can lead to serious health complications if left untreated. According to the CDC, chronic hepatitis can cause liver disease, liver cancer, and even death. Early detection allows for immediate treatment and reduces the risk of these severe outcomes. Moreover, knowing your hepatitis status can help prevent the spread of the virus to others.
