I came in one day without an appoint and waited two hours as a walk-in before I had to leave without being tested. I made an appointment through Quest Lab Testing for the next day, showed up on time, got tested easily and was on my way in 15-20 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Hepatitis, a viral infection that causes inflammation of the liver, can affect anyone but certain individuals are at a higher risk. According to the CDC, those who should consider getting tested for hepatitis include individuals who have been exposed to blood or body fluids of an infected person, those who have had unprotected sex with an infected person, individuals who have shared needles or other drug paraphernalia, and those who have lived with or cared for an infected person. Additionally, anyone born to a mother with hepatitis should be tested, as the infection can be passed from mother to child.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial because early detection can prevent serious health complications such as liver disease, cirrhosis, and liver cancer. Moreover, individuals who are aware of their hepatitis status can take steps to prevent transmitting the virus to others. According to the CDC, many people with hepatitis do not experience symptoms until the disease has advanced, making regular testing important for at-risk individuals.
