The receptionist and PA that was there today (2/20/2019)were great and amazing! My only complaint was that the nurse on staff today was not so warm and welcoming let alone have 1 smile on her face . Other than her I was very happy with our visit today .

Everything was great!!! The nurse practitioner was fabulous. The only suggestion is that you need to get all of your staff registered with public aid.  Unfortunately the prescriptions cost 100.00.  This is the 2 nd provider that was not registered!! Again facility and Dr were fabulous!!!

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Hepatitis is a serious condition that can lead to severe liver damage if left untreated. According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to the virus, has had unprotected sex, shared needles, or has a mother with hepatitis should get tested. This also includes individuals who have traveled to countries with high rates of hepatitis, healthcare workers, and people with chronic liver disease.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can prevent the spread of the disease and lead to early treatment, reducing the risk of severe liver damage. The CDC reports that many people with hepatitis do not know they have it, which can lead to unknowingly spreading the virus to others. Early detection can also help prevent the development of liver cancer, a common complication of hepatitis.

These locations offer same-day and next-day appointments for hepatitis testing, which can be booked through Solv’s website and mobile app.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers are also a reliable option for hepatitis testing. They can provide a comprehensive health check and guide you through the testing process. If you have a primary care provider in La Grange Park or nearby cities like Brookfield or Riverside, consider reaching out to them for a hepatitis test.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Community health centers often offer free or low-cost STD testing, including hepatitis. These centers are typically funded by the government and aim to provide accessible healthcare services to all, regardless of income.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits for hepatitis are also available. These kits allow you to collect a sample at home and send it to a lab for testing. This can be a convenient option for those who prefer privacy or have difficulty accessing a healthcare facility.

It's important to note that while anyone can contract hepatitis, certain populations, such as those with a history of substance abuse or those with multiple sexual partners, are at a higher risk.

Other STDs in La Grange Park

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also present in La Grange Park. The rates of these STDs are generally in line with the national average.
