Exceptional Medical Care by Armando and the American Family Care Urgent Care Team I am writing this review with great pleasure to express my heartfelt appreciation to the team at American Family Care Urgent Care, and especially to Armando, for the outstanding medical care they provided to my mother during her visit to the urgent care unit. Armando demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism and empathy throughout the process. His skill in using the EKG machine and drawing blood was notable, performing both procedures with such precision and care that my mother felt entirely at ease and secure throughout the process. His ability to communicate clearly and explain each step of the procedure, his patience, and his dedication to my mother's comfort were truly impressive. In addition, I'd like to highlight the overall care we received at the urgent care unit. The team was efficient, compassionate, and highly professional. We felt supported and cared for throughout our stay, which is testament to the culture of excellence they have cultivated at the clinic. I wish to thank Armando and the entire team at American Family Care Urgent Care for their commitment to high-quality healthcare and for their dedication to patients' comfort and wellbeing. It's rare to find a team so dedicated and passionate about their work. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking quality urgent care. Thank you, Armando, and thank you to the American Family Care Urgent Care team for making a difference in my mother's life!

Grandson needed an EKG, suggested by his doctor at Children's Hospital in Aurora, so we stopped by to have it done. My phone was zero percent charged, so we were walk-ins. It took maybe 10-12 minutes to be seen by the nursing staff. She was great to Bryan and then the Nurse Practitioner came in and was just as great to my grandson, while providing the necessary care.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to blood or body fluids of an infected person should get tested for hepatitis. This includes people who have shared needles or other drug-injection equipment, had unprotected sex with an infected person, or have been born to a mother with hepatitis. Additionally, people with certain medical conditions, such as chronic liver disease or HIV, should also get tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial for both personal health and public safety. Early detection can lead to effective treatment, reducing the risk of severe liver damage and potentially preventing the spread of the virus to others. According to the CDC, hepatitis, if left untreated, can lead to liver cancer, cirrhosis, or even death.

Hepatitis testing options in Broomfield, CO:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Urgent care and walk-in clinics in Broomfield offer convenient, same-day hepatitis testing. One such location is Carbon Health Urgent Care in nearby Westminster, which is highly rated for its short wait times and friendly staff. Appointments can be booked through Solv's website or mobile app.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers are another excellent resource for hepatitis testing. They can provide comprehensive care, including testing, treatment, and follow-up. It's always a good idea to discuss any health concerns with your primary care provider.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Community health centers often offer free or low-cost STD testing, including for hepatitis. These centers provide an essential service, particularly for those without insurance or with limited financial resources.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits for hepatitis are also available. These kits can be ordered online, used in the privacy of your own home, and then sent back to a lab for analysis.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Broomfield

While specific data for Broomfield is not readily available, hepatitis is a significant public health concern in Jefferson County and across Colorado. Rates of hepatitis, particularly Hepatitis C, have been increasing in recent years, mirroring national trends. It's important for residents to be aware of this risk and to consider getting tested, particularly if they have any of the risk factors associated with hepatitis.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Broomfield

Risk factors for hepatitis in Broomfield are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include drug use, particularly the sharing of needles, unprotected sex, and being born to a mother with hepatitis. Additionally, certain occupations, such as healthcare or public safety workers who are exposed to blood on the job, are at increased risk.

Other STDs in Broomfield

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also prevalent in Broomfield and surrounding areas. As with hepatitis, early detection and treatment of these STDs are crucial for personal health and public safety. Testing for these STDs can often be done at the same time as hepatitis testing.
