I was going in for a routine drug test for my job. There seemed to be very few people there  and I was shown that there were 0 people ahead of me for the test. I continued to wait in the lobby for about 10 min and nobody said anything to me about my wait time other than they will be with me shortly. Both staff members seemed very short with me and the person doing my urine test was rude and impatient with me when I was wrapping up with a text message. She didn’t even flush the toilet from the previous person using it and didn’t apologize for having me enter a bathroom with a used toilet. There was some kind of issue with the ceiling and water leaking everywhere so maybe that’s why the staff was grumpy but that should not be an excuse.

Was able to make a fast easy appointment for next day online. But wait time in clinic was very long even though I did have an appointment. I think AME should do reminder messages of appointments or when patient needs testing as well.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who has been exposed to the hepatitis virus should get tested, but certain groups are at a higher risk and should consider regular testing. These include individuals who have injected drugs, men who have sex with men, individuals with multiple sexual partners, and healthcare workers who may be exposed to blood or body fluids. Additionally, anyone born to a mother with hepatitis, or those who have traveled to countries with high rates of hepatitis, should also consider getting tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can lead to serious health issues if left untreated, including liver disease and cancer. According to the CDC, early detection can lead to treatments that can potentially prevent these serious complications. Testing is also important for preventing the spread of the virus to others.
