Nice and capable staff for Covid 19 test. Very busy, so a bit of a wait for callbacks and when at site, and needed to call at site to get staff to come to car. Signed up for antibody test beforehand but not available when I got there. I am glad because the test is up to $200, depending on how much insurance covers. Call insurance first for sure.

I highly recommend AFC Saugus. I came in on a Saturday morning and was one of the first patients in the clinic. They attended to me quickly and I was in and out in 30 minutes. The physician was easy to work with and attentively listened to my concerns and addressed the symptoms I was experiencing. AFC Saugus will be my top choice should I need medical assistance in the future.

It was immigrant medical exam second visit. I was called to visit at 9:10. I checked in at 9:09 and finished the paper work front desk asked for. The system showed I am the third on the waitlist. I waited till 10:39 to be served after noticing two groups of people also came behind me for immigration test saw the doctor. The officer said she doesn’t know I was there, well… my time has been wasted already.

Arrived at 10:40, just before the clinic got very busy. Next time I will begin the paperwork online, in advance, and arrive earlier. I got excellent care for lingering respiratory concerns, after having the flu. Even tho I had got this year's flu vax in September. I wish the people in the waiting area would wear masks. But hey, trumpo said it is all a hoax so here we go again.

“I got good care in AFC. The staff was very helpful and there was no waiting time at all. Water got into my right ear and blocked my hearing. The provider removed a lot of ear wax from my ear and I feel better. I am so happy with my experience and the great care I received. Thank you.”

About Celiac (Gluten) Disease Testing Panel

The Celiac Disease Testing Panel is a set of diagnostic tests used to identify Celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder triggered by the ingestion of gluten. This panel helps healthcare providers assess the presence of specific antibodies associated with Celiac disease and aids in confirming the diagnosis.

Who Should Get Tested

If you reside in Salem, New Hampshire, and have symptoms suggestive of Celiac disease, such as chronic gastrointestinal issues, unexplained weight loss, fatigue, or skin rashes, Celiac Disease Testing Panel is recommended. Additionally, individuals with a family history of Celiac disease or other autoimmune disorders may benefit from this testing to rule out or confirm the condition.

Tests Included in Celiac Disease Testing Panel

The Celiac Disease Testing Panel typically includes the following tests:

  1. Tissue Transglutaminase Antibody (tTG-IgA): Measures the presence of antibodies produced in response to gluten ingestion.
  2. Endomysial Antibody (EMA-IgA): Detects antibodies directed against the body's own tissues affected by gluten ingestion.
  3. Total Serum IgA: Measures the overall level of immunoglobulin A (IgA) in the blood, which helps ensure accurate antibody test results.

Interpreting the Results

If the Celiac Disease Testing Panel shows elevated levels of tTG-IgA and EMA-IgA antibodies and normal total serum IgA, it indicates a high likelihood of Celiac disease. A positive result may lead to further evaluation, including an endoscopic biopsy of the small intestine to confirm the diagnosis.

Following the Test

If the Celiac Disease Testing Panel confirms Celiac disease, your healthcare provider will discuss dietary modifications to eliminate gluten from your diet. Gluten-free diets are essential for managing Celiac disease and preventing complications related to gluten consumption.

Early detection and proper management of Celiac disease through the Celiac Disease Testing Panel can lead to improved quality of life and prevent long-term health issues associated with gluten ingestion.
