AFC is amazing the minute you step through the urgent care doors. Barely any wait time, easy check in staff is amazing. There is no waiting for the Dr. to see you, they take time to address all your questions. Fast test results, and they do a follow up how are you feeling call or text. They are their own plans, and weight management and flexible payments.

No insurance walk-in fee is around $100 plus taxes. There was no wait time. Got in and out within 45 minutes. I still scheduled an appointment online and walked in when they opened. It was empty which I liked going to a clinic and it’s not crowded. I’d go back and pay for the quality of service I received. They setup your order for if you need a prescription for you at your preferred pharmacy and you pick it up. I got to the pharmacy 10 mins before they opened. Still didn’t leave the pharmacy for about an hour. I waited longer at the pharmacy than I did at AFC. Needless to say, 10/10 first time experience and would go back. Again a lil pricey with no insurance but the level of service is worth it.

About Celiac (Gluten) Disease Testing Panel

The Celiac Disease Testing Panel is a set of diagnostic tests used to identify Celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder triggered by the ingestion of gluten. This panel helps healthcare providers assess the presence of specific antibodies associated with Celiac disease and aids in confirming the diagnosis.

Who Should Get Tested

If you reside in Bradenton, Florida, and have symptoms suggestive of Celiac disease, such as chronic gastrointestinal issues, unexplained weight loss, fatigue, or skin rashes, Celiac Disease Testing Panel is recommended. Additionally, individuals with a family history of Celiac disease or other autoimmune disorders may benefit from this testing to rule out or confirm the condition.

Tests Included in Celiac Disease Testing Panel

The Celiac Disease Testing Panel typically includes the following tests:

  1. Tissue Transglutaminase Antibody (tTG-IgA): Measures the presence of antibodies produced in response to gluten ingestion.
  2. Endomysial Antibody (EMA-IgA): Detects antibodies directed against the body's own tissues affected by gluten ingestion.
  3. Total Serum IgA: Measures the overall level of immunoglobulin A (IgA) in the blood, which helps ensure accurate antibody test results.

Interpreting the Results

If the Celiac Disease Testing Panel shows elevated levels of tTG-IgA and EMA-IgA antibodies and normal total serum IgA, it indicates a high likelihood of Celiac disease. A positive result may lead to further evaluation, including an endoscopic biopsy of the small intestine to confirm the diagnosis.

Following the Test

If the Celiac Disease Testing Panel confirms Celiac disease, your healthcare provider will discuss dietary modifications to eliminate gluten from your diet. Gluten-free diets are essential for managing Celiac disease and preventing complications related to gluten consumption.

Early detection and proper management of Celiac disease through the Celiac Disease Testing Panel can lead to improved quality of life and prevent long-term health issues associated with gluten ingestion.
